One of the most infuriating aspects of the GTA series is the fact that, in GTA IV, it seems like players can't go more than about 15 minutes without protagonist Niko's cousin Roman calling him and asking him to go bowling. More irritating than anything else is that, despite the other activities Niko and Roman can partake in, such as going to a bar or playing pool, Roman most commonly wants to bowl and nothing else, yet given how mundane GTA IV's bowling mini-game is, the usual response is to decline. Plus, Roman always seems to call at the most inappropriate and ridiculous of times: if Niko's just murdered an entire fleet of cops, does he really want to blow off steam bowling? Furthermore, why is Roman so keen to spend time away from his girlfriend, Mallorie? Gamers everywhere wanted to like Roman, but the guy does himself no favours: his desperation is incredibly annoying.
