5. Wipeout Is Getting A Remastered Collection

This one's been rumoured and requested for a while, and Sony finally confirmed that the classic sci-fi racing franchise Wipeout will be getting a remastered collection due for release next summer.

Named the Wipeout Omega Collection, the compendium will contain Wipeout HD, the Fury expansion and also Wipeout 2048, and will reportedly run at a smooth 60 FPS, complete with 4K resolution and HDR capabilities.

The games will bring together an impressive 9 modes, 26 tracks and 46 ships, but perhaps most excitingly, the game will feature 8-player online races (as well as local multiplayer) and an all-new soundtrack.

The nostalgia is real, it's damn real.
