Thatgamecompany's former art director Matt Nava has formed his own studio, Giant Squid, their first project of which is Abzu, an underwater exploration adventure game which, from the trailer shown off so far, looks like the spiritual successor to Journey, taking that game's concept to a wildly more ambitious locale. Little is known about the game beyond the beautiful visual display shown off in the trailer, though Journey composer Austin Wintory will be providing the score, which along with the game's incredible art style, suggests a stylistically magnificent game that will hopefully have the gameplay to accompany it. Sadly, though, there's a long wait ahead, because Abzu won't be in gamers' hands until 2016 (hopefully early 2016, mind). Release Date: 2016
