18. Dogfighting Above London - Battlefield 1

Although Battlefield 1's campaign is very short-lived - in service of pushing you onto the exemplary multiplayer - it has some immaculate high points.

Stealthily retrieving tank components in a mist-tinged village, riding horseback as you charge across sandy dunes, my personal favourite is the dogfight way above London in 'Friends in High Places'.

Playing as the pilot Clyde Blackburn who's forged his way onto the force, you and your new best bud Wilson are thrown into one of the most visually stunning sequences in the entire game. Set against the backdrop of a syrupy setting sun, you'll weave, duck and dive through enemy forces, downing any number of them before crash-landing on a blimp, taking out the one next to it and plummeting head-first into the Thames.

To say EA DICE have mastered spectacle would be an understatement, and if they learn from this when crafting Star Wars Battlefront 2's single player, we're in for a real treat.
