20 Announced Video Games That Are NEVER Coming Out

3. Radio the Universe

Over 13 and a half years, yes that's how long this game has been in development. By this point one has to start wondering if the developer, 6E6E6E, are making a game or trying to actually acquire the powers of their advertised protagonist. Another one crowdfunded via a Kickstarter campaign, Radio the Universe was confirmed in 2013. A retro-style 16-bit action RPG, the game would let players immerse themselves in a classic top-down tower combat mechanic combined with an open-world setting.

Like with every other game on this list, development proved to be a never ending maze. The original 2014 release schedule was never met, although additional content was released, teasing a 2016 release. Needless to say that did not happen either. In 2020, things seemed to gain momentum again, raising hopes of a release that year.

The most recent update was from 3 years ago when 6E6E6E released a playable demo for the game for Steam Next Fest. While that is certainly positive and confirms the game is still in the works, the long wait since the original announcement does raise the question of whether it will ever reach completion.
