20 Basic Video Game Skills That Are Secretly Broken

8. Telekinesis - Divinity: Original Sin II

Divinity: Original Sin 2 divides your party's abilities into two categories: combat abilities that improve skills related to fighting and civil abilities that impact non-combat situations, mostly in the form of a quality-of-life feature.

This said, the Civil Ability Telekinesis can actually prove quite useful in combat. So much so that it is actually one of the deadliest skills in the game.

Telekinesis allows you to move objects with your mind, allowing you to push them around regardless of their weight. In addition, the ability also lets you carry more things in your inventory, and this combination is what makes it so strong for combat purposes.

With improved telekinesis, you can stuff your inventory full of heavy objects and then throw them at the enemy to instantly kill them, since thrown weapons' damage scales with their weight, and telekinesis lets you throw even the heaviest of things.

To maximize the damage, fill any container with as much garbage as possible and then hurl it at your foes to watch as a metric ton of random chests and barrels evaporates their health bar in an instant.

It's quite an effective strategy, not to mention pretty hilarious.
