Starting life as a DLC, nobody expected ditching Nathan Drake to "work" for an Uncharted spin-off.

Brilliantly though, discarding the main continuity and shining the spotlight on Chloe and Nadine was a masterstroke.

With Chloe the history expert and Nadine the daughter of a military leader focused on her pay cheque, the pair have a genuine character arc from front to back, with the best set-pieces in the series powering the action on screen.
