FromSoftware

A stupidly hard exercise in brain training and sheer perseverance, making it through Sekiro without tearing your hair out should be considered a monumental achievement.

Thankfully, there's far more to the experience than just cheap challenge. FromSoftware have clearly applied all the lessons learned from Demon's Souls, all three Dark Souls games and Bloodborne, to craft a razor-sharp title with combat you'll need to learn inside out.

Essentially an ever-expanding spiral of 'rock, paper, scissors' attacks and counter-attacks, you'll go from being smushed into the pavement, to deflecting several blows in quick succession, following up with a stupidly satisfying finishing move, before sheathing your blade and moving on.

It's this earned progression twinned with a level and power-up system that emboldens play the more you explore, combining to form the best FromSoft game yet.
