Throughout the early stages of Final Fantasy X, Yuna espouses the idea of putting on a brave face so that she can continue to provide hope for the people of Spira. At one point this leads to an exchange between Yuna and Tidus that results in the pair of them putting on an extremely fake laugh that eventually boils down into genuine laughter. That's all well and good. Now remove the context and watch the scene above. For somebody who doesn't know about the events of the game, the laughing scene is one of the weirdest examples of voice acting they are likely to see. There were even a few players that still couldn't help but scratch their heads a little bit.
