8. Lisa Garland's Death (Silent Hill)
A character from Silent Hill who repeatedly insists that the player is dreaming all these terrible things, Lisa Garland is perhaps one of the most memorable aspects of the first game. Though shes a well rounded character with an interesting background, its actually here death that resonates most still to this day.
Having realised the truth, Lisa deduces that she must already be dead, and proceeds to beg Harry Mason for help. Not knowing what to do with Lisa, Harry pushes her away, only for her to start bleeding profusely from the top of her head. Eventually, the red stuff washes down her entire body, pouring over her eyes, drenching her everywhere and leaving her in a pool of her own blood.
Its a tragic moment handled excellently, and the fact that it comes during Lisas moment of epiphany makes it ever sweeter.
