15. The Order: 1886

The Order: 1886 combines gothic, werewolf-dominated horror set in Victorian London with an array of bombastic weaponry created by Nikola Tesla himself. The cool premise was more than backed up by a couple of stunning trailers in 2014, showcasing visuals that left many wondering how they could possibly run on at the PlayStation hardware available at the time.

When the game launched in 2015, incredibly, developer Ready at Dawn had managed to back up that visual promise. They'd undeniably created one of the best-looking PS4 games of all time. Unfortunately though, there just wasn't much underneath those beautiful visuals. The gameplay was perfectly serviceable but unspectacular, the story and characters were pretty bland, and the heavily linear nature of the game meant that however beautiful this Victorian London was, it couldn't really be explored.

While The Order: 1886 wasn't a terrible game by any means, it just didn't do enough to win most people over, aside from looking stunning. It ultimately proved to be a forgettable experience that became lost in a raft of other 3rd person shooters that were far more exciting.
