Uniquely for an entry on this list, Project Cars didn't use Kickstarter as method of crowdfunding. It obviously didn't have much of an effect on the total raised: in three years Project Cars managed to gain a total of $5 million from backers. Project Cars claims to be the most authentic, beautiful, intense, and technically-advanced racing game on the planet. With it's career mode and much talked about online play, this multi-platform racer is expected to be one of the best racers in recent years when it gets released in April.
