20 Cult-Classics Trapped On Old Consoles

20. Minecraft: Story Mode

In the mid-2010s, you couldn’t move without bumping into a new Telltale video game. Gamers were treated to classics such as The Walking Dead, Batman and my personal favourite, Tales From The Borderlands, just to name a few.

One game that has seemingly slipped the minds of gamers across the world is Minecraft: Story Mode. Originally released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 generation, it was later ported to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and PS4, but if you were to try and play it now, you’d be out of luck.

Minecraft: Story Mode was unfortunately delisted from all digital storefronts in 2019 due to the original Telltale team closing down in 2018. It did briefly make a comeback on Netflix as part of their gaming lineup, but was also removed from the service in 2022.

With the huge popularity of the recent Minecraft movie and the continued popularity of the video game, it seems like money is being left on the table with Minecraft: Story Mode. And with an absolutely stellar cast, such as Patton Oswalt, Ashley Johnson and Dee Bradley Baker, it’s a shame we’ll never get to see their hard work on screen again.
