20 Cult-Classics Trapped On Old Consoles

13. Folklore

Seen as an underrated gem on the PlayStation 3, Folklore is an action role-playing game set in the mystical land of Ireland (yes, you read that correctly). You get to play as two different characters, Ellen or Keats, who have their own unique stories that eventually intertwine.

Developed by Games Republic, Folklore is the love child of Kouji Okada (known for producing the Shin Megami Tensei series) and Yoshiki Okamoto (known for producing Final Fight and Street Fighter 2) and has been trapped on the PlayStation 3 ever since its release in 2007 and with the game slowly becoming more sought after, the price of the physical game is only going to rise to match the demand.

Due to low sales, the game never saw a sequel, even though Games Republic originally imagined this as the start of a trilogy. So who knows, maybe a remaster or just bringing this game back to online storefronts will spark the interest of gamers enough to get this trilogy finally finished.
