20 Most Hotly Anticipated Games Still To Come In 2014

5. Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare (Nov 4)

With another year, of course, comes another Call of Duty game in November, though the model has changed slightly this year, as it kick-starts a new three-year development cycle between three different companies, with Sledgehammer Games taking the reins this time. Much has been made of Kevin Spacey lending his voice and likeness to the role of villainous Jonathan Irons, but at E3 the focus was on demonstrating how radically the look and feel of the game has shifted. That's right, Advanced Warfare looks like no CoD game we've played before: the tech is more...advanced, and the graphics are a major step-up from the rather underwhelming visual presentation we've become used to. It remains to be seen whether Sledgehammer will actually make a campaign worth playing both in terms of length and story (as have been frequent complaints of the series for years), but we're still waiting on the meat of the game being revealed, which of course means the multiplayer suite. If nothing else, we should expect an online offering that at least looks considerably better than Ghosts, and hopefully Sledgehammer will have come up with a few nifty ideas while incorporating those which worked well in Ghosts. Predicted MetaCritic Score: 83
