14. Gordon Freeman Originally Looked Like A Biker In Half-Life

Half-Life's Gordon Freeman is one of the most iconic video game protagonists of all time, in large part because he basically just looks like the most regular, ordinary dude imaginable.

But that wasn't always the plan - the original Gordon Freeman design, lovingly nicknamed "Ivan the Space Biker," depicted ol' Gordy as a decidedly more scary-looking dude with a flattop haircut, piercing eyes, and a massive beard.
