An infamous egg this one. Named after Markus Notch Persson, creator of the Minecraft series, it was added into the Skyrim landscape as a nod from the developers of Bethesda to say, we dont care, after a lengthy legal dispute. The legal department had dropped a copyright lawsuit on Notch for his proposed game Scrolls, concerned that gamers would somehow mistake it as a tie in to the Elder Scrolls series, of which Skyrim sits. The legal department wanted to put a stop to it before it began and even though Notch generously offered to settle the dispute via a Quake deathmatch (best challenge ever), the suits werent interested and kept pushing the lawsuit. Luckily the developers thought it was ridiculous and so put in the Notched Pickaxe, which took the form of Minecrafts iconic tool.
