14. The Last Of Us (PS1)

A lot of people would dispute The Last of Us' claims to being a survival horror on the basis that it's too cinematic and linear to fit the category. These same people would also probably argue that the golden age of survival horror was on the PS1 in the 90s - when it was all fixed camera angles, pre-rendered backgrounds and tank controls.

So this is what Naughty Dog's gem would look like if it were a true PS1-style survival horror in the Resident Evil mold. Probably way more awkward to play, but still pretty atmospheric!
