20 Ridiculously Low Game Ratings You Won’t Believe

20. Transformers Devastation: 76 (PS4)

Transform and roll out! A new Transformers game that is G1 styled, and is made by the ever awesome Platinum Games? Who wouldn€™t want that? Well, seemingly quite a few jaded reviewers. Transformers Devastation is fairly new, so more reviews will inevitably come out over time. Still, what's out has put the game down for being €œrepetitive€ and €œtoo short€. In regards to being too short, it€™s true that it€™s not as gargantuan as something like the Witcher or MGS V, but a ton of the best experiences you can have are across an afternoon. It simply doesn't matter, when what's here plays this well. Perhaps Activision should have released it at a far lower price to 'justify' it€™s length, but what's here is incredibly solid. As for being repetitive, saying a beat-em-up is repetitive is akin to saying that Street Fighter should throw in a FPS Hadoken mode, or Call of Duty should have a 2D fighting mini-game. The criticism of being "repetitive" is a common one that you'll see a lot more of through this list. When a critic says a game feels repetitive, it often just means they're not interested in the genre itself. Any game, no matter how great, can feel repetitive if it's just not something you like.
