20 Simple Game Exploits That Make You OP

18. Everburn Blade Command Exploit - Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate 3's tutorial features a seemingly impossible boss fight with the devil commander, Zhalk.

You're supposed to run away from him while he's busy fighting a mind flayer, but if you somehow manage to defeat Zhalk, the game will reward you with his flaming Everburn Blade that can prove especially powerful at lower levels.

The prize is good, but considering Zhalk's strength and the fact that to even have a chance at beating him you need to get a few rounds of extremely lucky RNG, obtaining the sword seems like a one-in-ten-playthroughs thing.

Unless you just ask Zhalk to give you the weapon.

The easiest way to get Zhalk's Everburn Blade is to simply use the Command spell on him to cause him to drop it. To get the spell, either start as a spellcaster class with access to the spell or recruit Shadowheart in the intro and then switch one of her prepared spells to Command.

Doing so will give you at least two casts of Command, which should be enough to disarm Zhalk and get his sword for free.

As an added bonus, once Zhalk is unarmed, he's much easier to kill and will yield you a ton of extra EXP.

Not so impossible now, huh?
