20 Stunning Open World Game Areas That Left You SPEECHLESS
10. Mount Chiliad (GTA V)
Gamers are more than used to looking up at huge mountain ranges, or other such set dressing, and thinking, "damn, I wish I could climb that, what a shame it's just there for the background." There are very few games that offer you the chance to look up at a huge landmark, get climbing, and actually reach the top. But, naturally, all Grand Theft Auto fans will tell you that there's one you can definitely scale - Mount Chiliad.
This incredible mountain range first appeared in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. However, it was the seminal Grand Theft Auto V that really pushed this area to the max, giving you a huge area to explore and a wonderful view from up top, if you can survive the trek - watch out for cougars.
Mount Chiliad is, most importantly, the highest point in the entire game, which makes sense as it's massive. Getting to the top feels like a genuine hike, but the beautiful surroundings along the way make it feel special.
Los Santos may be a vile den of vapid consumerism, but it's nice to look down at.
