12. Never REALLY Understanding The Nearby Feet Symbols

Some say they represent distance in metres, others an unquantifiable metric that simply denotes "Far away" versus "Right underneath you".

You'll often find yourself following the latest logic dictated by social media or a helpful Youtube video, only to find something that contradicts it entirely along the way. Why, when watching the feet symbols count down, does a completely different Pokémon who hasn't even appeared on your Nearby menu suddenly appear?
