19 Things Video Game Fans Are SICK Of

18. Spoilers In Reviews

This writer has long been a fan of Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, best known as the creator of Zero Punctuation (and current web series Fully Ramblomatic). Yahtzee's fiercely opinionated, highly intelligent and ferociously funny video reviews have been delighting gamers for close to two decades, and if there were knighthoods offered for services to games journalism than Yahtzee would be this writer's first pick.

Having said that, may all his scones be forever unbuttered for his Star Wars: Zero Company review spoiling the game's big twist.

This may be the most petty complaint on this list, but it's still a deeply annoying one. Review 101 states that, if a plot development occurs that turns the story on its head (and Zero Company's most certainly does that), do not say what it is. Instead, take inspiration from Metro who, in their review of the game, stated point blank "We don't want to spoil anything" before making their opinions on the story clear (Spoiler alert: they loved it).

Actually, Metro are a funny lot to be praising for their policy on spoilers, because good God are they guilty of the next crime on this list...
