2. Spider-Man - 2017

Spider-man, does whatever a spider can, which until this point in time doesn’t seem to include being in a good video game. Sure, we’ve had OK games starring Peter Parker’s superhero alter ego, with most people pointing towards Spider-man 2 (and that’s going back to the PS2 era) as being decent, but there hasn’t been a classic. Spider-man, a brand new PS4 exclusive from Insomniac Games is looking to change that.

If you’ve seen the reveal trailer, aired at Sony’s impressive E3 2016 conference, you’ll already know that this is a Spider-man game that looks legitimately great. The developer, Insomniac, is responsible for some truly excellent titles, including Ratchet and Clank, Resistance, and Sunset Overdrive, so the signs are all pointing towards potential greatness. This is also the start of a new policy from Marvel to partner up with great game developers so its licenses are given the video games they deserve.

Let’s all hope Spider-man kicks off this new plan with a triple-A hit.
