13. The Nug King's Court - Dragon Age: Inquisition
The Descent DLC for Dragon Age: Inquisition takes you and your companions into the dangerous corridors of the dwarven Deep Roads, infested with Darkspawn, Deepstalkers, and all sorts of other underground monstrosities.
Also, Nugs.
Nugs, Dragon Age’s adorable cross between pigs and rabbits, make an appearance in the DLC in the form of a very special, one-time Easter egg.
While exploring the Forgotten Caverns, you can come across a cave system behind an invisible bridge. The caverns are filled with nugs that, curiously enough, try to lead you deeper down their tunnels until you find a stone throne.
If you obtain the wheel of cheese from the Ruins of Heidrun Thaig, you will unlock the option to place it on the throne, and this will trigger a special cutscene. The cave will fill with even more nugs, and then a nug wearing a crown will appear and sit on the throne, putting you on trial in front of his loyal subjects.
The cutscene is a beautifully bizarre scene that is a must-watch, but at the same time you’re only allowed to visit the Nug King’s court once.
After the interaction, the nugs disappear, and placing the cheese wheel on the throne doesn’t do anything.
The Nug King is a busy pig-rabbit, after all.
