6. Petrification - Dragon Age: Origins

Dragon Age: Origins features a wide selection of different schools of magic that your mage characters can specialize in. The Primal school focuses on wielding the natural elements to your advantage, and while you may think that fire will be the most devastating of the bunch, it is actually the Path of Stone that is the deadliest.

Although the Path of Stone’s spells aren’t as focused on damage-dealing as the other Primal spells, the path includes a secret combo that can instantly annihilate your enemies.

The final spell in the path, Petrify, allows you to instantly turn any non-boss enemy into stone. As is, the spell is useful for crowd control. However, if you combine it with another Stone spell, Stonefist, which allows you to hurl a giant rock at the enemy, the fist will be able to shatter the petrified target, instantly killing them.

The insta-kill can also work with the spell Crushing Prison and frozen enemies, too. However, considering both Petrify and Stonefist are part of the same path, they are the fastest way you can achieve this combo.

Once you learn them, no enemy will be able to withstand your rocky power, no matter how much health they have.
