20 Video Game Villains That SHOULDN'T Have Died

11. Venom - Marvel's Spider-Man 2

There was a whole lot of excitement about Marvel's Spider-Man 2 introducing Venom to Insomniac's Spidey-verse, and though he certainly looked the part and was brilliantly performed by the late Tony Todd, many were left feeling that the antagonist simply didn't get enough screen time relative to his marketing presence.

It sure didn't help that the game concluded with the destruction of the main Venom symbiote, and while there are enough traces of the symbiote unaccounted for that the villain likely won't remain "dead" forever, it still felt the character's entire arc was rushed out the door.

There's so much that can be done with Venom across a multi-game saga, and so to introduce him and then obliterate him in such a short span of play-time rubbed many fans the wrong way.

He'll be back for sure, but with how much of a rush-job his introduction was, will fans actually still care all that much?
