11. Trilla Suduri/Second Sister - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (2019)

Few games have offered us such a comprehensive Jedi Knight experience as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, in which we play as Cal Kestis, a padawan who survived Order 66 and is drawn back into his training, going up against not one but a whole host of Sith. Yes, Vader eventually turns up, but the primary villains of the piece are the Inquisitors: force- and lightsaber-wielding agents used by the Empire to hunt and exterminate the remaining Jedi.  And the worst amongst them is Trilla Suduri, the Second Sister.

She enters the game by killing Cal’s friend Prauf right in front of him, and proceeds to stalk his movements throughout the galaxy, proving ridiculously OP and a real pain to fight on each encounter. Moves need to be perfectly timed and blocked, in frustrating combat that becomes increasingly tedious and is enough to make us want to throw the controller at the TV.

And we can’t get her sneering face and condescending tone out of our mind, every encounter – and every loss – driving us to train, skill up and smash her once and for all. Yet, we wait so long, only for the ultimate satisfaction to be snatched from us by Vader, as he shows up and strikes her down with a single slash.
