20 Weirdest Licensed Video Games EVER

10. The Simpsons Wrestling

Everyone's favourite Springfieldians just couldn't be contained to one entry on this list and with The Simpsons wrestling, they managed to hit the new heights of weirdness and tremendous new lows in terms of quality.

Exclusive to the original Playstation, The Simpsons Wrestling pits several of the show's more popular characters against one another in hand-to-hand combat with the sole aim of winning a huge amount of prize money - not exactly the most compelling story but that's not what we're all here for. We're here to see Bart finally get revenge on Homer for all the time he throttled him.

The gameplay is incredibly basic, with each character having three distinct moves and very little else to bring to the table. The wrestling rings themselves are also huge, allowing you to easily run-circles around your opponents and grab the various power-ups that spawn in but the gameplay is so stale that you likely won't last for more than a few rounds.

The biggest question that has to be asked is simply, why? Why did they think it was a good idea to make a wrestling game out of The Simpsons?

Money, the answer is money.
