How about a game where you play as a gallant, farting Knight wielding a large sword and charging, blade outstretched, into a randomly generated castle? Such is one of the setups for Rogue Legacy, a Castlevania tribute roguelike where you'll get a completely different character every time you die, the story being that your entire bloodline is continually devoted to taking on the horrors of the fortress ahead. You'll eventually unlock tons of modifiers for the castle itself and equipment that'll let you come back with more gold to pass down to your children, but to do so, you'll play as a string of heroes with random abilities (some being totally crazy, like seeing the world upside down, or getting a fart-assisted speed boost) before exploring whatever lies ahead. In the end there's just so much charm permeating every inch of Cellar Door's little creation, and because you don't know if your next batch of stats are going to sway in your favour or not, Rogue Legacy ends up weaponising that age-old 'just one more go' sensation to deliciously addictive effect.
