21 Video Games We'd Put On A Mini PS1

21. Crash Team Racing

Basically Sony's answer to Mario Kart, Crash Team Racing, is - arguably - even better than Mario Kart.

You know the drill; you'll be playing as a load of characters from the Crash Bandicoot series who end up having to race carts. In this case, they're doing so to save the planet from being turned into a giant parking lot by an evil alien overlord named Nitrous Oxide.

CTR is very similar to Mario kart; you can expect a lot of powerups ranging from a nitro box to a time warp which attacks everyone on the track and you can expect sprawling levels with multiple routes. However, it's Crash Team Racing's tight controls, speed boosting mechanics, story mode and challenges that make it the king of the cart racers from the PS1 and N64 era.

Having recently played the holy trinity of cart racers from this era - CTR, Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing 64 - CTR was by the most fun of the lot. It still holds up extremely well and is every bit as fun to play with friends gathered around your TV as it was way back in the day.
