26 Characters To Consider For The Next Super Smash Bros

6. Toad

Probability: 40%

But he cant fight! Or can he? Toad has been a playable character in the New Super Mario Bros series, not to mention his role in Super Mario Bros 2 back in the day. Hes one of the most recognisable figures in the Mario Universe, and if characters like the Ice Climbers can be expected to engage in fisticuffs with the likes of Giga Bowser, theres no reason to count Toad out. Personally I feel hed be better off left on the sidelines, but he remains a possible candidate.

5. Ghirahim

Probability: 30% One of the more memorable Zelda villains, and with the relatively recent release of Skyward Sword this is probably Ghirahims only shot of entering the Super Smash Bros roster, unless he returns in future Zelda titles. A new Zelda character from the future Wii U game shouldnt be ruled out, but Ghirahim is the most likely addition outside of Masked Link. Once again, his move-set is easy to imagine and there hasnt been a character quite like him in Super Smash Bros before.

4. Earthworm Jim

Probability: 30%

Something of a fan-favourite, this character would be a nostalgic nod to the SNES. Interplay recently allowed the original title to be ported to the Virtual Console, so I doubt theyd have a problem with him appearing in Super Smash Bros. If anything, theyd welcome the publicity for a much-loved character that has nonetheless fallen by the wayside in recent years. Sadly, with Earthworm Jim 4 unlikely to surface any time soon, Jim might not have enough of a fan-base left to make it into the game.

3. King Boo

Probability: 40%

Yet another Mario character, King Boo shows up in the majority of Nintendos party-style games, so theres no reason to count him out here. A ghost character could add an interesting dynamic to play, and his potential move-set might just be cool enough to justify his inclusion.

2. Geno

Probability: 35% Another fan favourite amongst the hardcore Smash Bros community. First appearing in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars in 1996, his rebellious attitude and enthusiasm won him a lot of supporters. He might not be that relevant nowadays, but strong support from the players means you shouldn't count him out.
