You won't be playing as this wrestler in WWE 2K23 after all. Here's why!

Some eagle-eyed gamers out there recently noticed that Scarlett was originally listed on the full roster for WWE 2K23 but has since been removed from the playable lineup.

WrestleZone contacted 2K to find out why. The development team's response? Scarlett will be a manager in the game, and thus can't be used during matches. So, no Women's Title runs or mixed tag-team bouts alongside Karrion Kross for her/you!

That's a bit of a bummer, especially when Scarlett had been listed on the game's roster - that only got some fans excited, because they thought she'd actually be available as a playable character this year.

In a word, nope.

Scarlett has only wrestled one televised match for WWE. That was a three-minute mixed tag win (alongside Kross) over Emma and Madcap Moss on the 6 January 2023 episode of SmackDown. Anyone hoping to replicate that sort of thing in this year's game will be a tad disappointed then.

WWE 2K23 will officially launch on 17 March, but those who purchase the game's special editions will be able to play three days early on 14 March.
