The prospect of Early Access gaming coming to consoles is a heavily divisive one, but Microsoft demonstrated during their conference that they seem to be taking a consumer-friendly approach to the controversial practice. The Xbox One's version is called Xbox Game Preview, and launched immediately after the conference, with Elite: Dangerous and The Long Dark being available and DayZ reportedly joining the ranks in the near-future. What really makes the service seem worthwhile is that every single game on the service has a free trial for players to test out before committing to purchase, hopefully cutting down on broken games fleecing players under the "work in progress" get-out clause. Now, with PC and Xbox riding the Early Access train, the question remains: will Sony be joining them soon enough?
