And finally, the killer moment that was more shocking and joyous than anything else at E3 this year. Almost fifteen years after Shenmue II was released for the Dreamcast, Shenmue III is being resurrected thanks to Sony and Kickstarter. Fans had to raise $2 million in 31 days, but they did it in only 9 hours, with the total sailing well past $3 million already. Of course, there was controversy about Sony pitching a Kickstarter at E3, but it's since been confirmed that this fan-sourced figure is simply a "trigger" goal for Sony and other investors to pony up their own cash too.
