Doctor Who has reached uncharted levels of acclaim since its 2005 revival so it's no surprise that its dominated presence within the cultural spectrum has interested the money-grabbing minds of third party investors who are vying to make a buck or two off the back of its ever growing international success. The leading Time Lord has faced encounters with a manner of all-powerful foes since his grand comeback to our screens including a brand new one which has proven to be one of his most formidable adversaries to date - technology. BBC chiefs are working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep his timey-wimey escapades relevant and, throughout their efforts to affirm the show's presence alongside, and in keeping with, the latest trends and software, the Doctor has taken on whole other dimensions in his various attempts to conquer not only our universe, but the gaming universe, too. It was only a matter of time, really. Back in the day, the Doctor only had the competitive board game market to worry about but cut to 2014 and Doctor Who fans are quite literally stepping into their hero's shoes to embark on brand new computer generated adventures from the comfort of their own sitting rooms. It's safe to say that the worlds of Doctor Who now extend much further than the confines of Saturday night television but, as this list shows, not all of his attempts to reign supreme in alternative dimensions have proven to be successful. Actually, the majority of them have well and truly flopped. In fact, there are some dimensions the Doctor should just never explore.
