Because being chased around by a naked old guy will never not be terrifying, the naffly-titled Remothered: Tormented Fathers is well worth checking out this Halloween season.
Players take the role of the distinctly Jodie Foster-esque Rosemary Reed - even touting the same hairdo and southern drawl - as she investigates a young girl's disappearance and, inevitably, finds herself being stalked around a creepy mansion.
Though the game's evidently low budget ensures it's mechanically rough around the edges, the impressively diverse A.I. is sure to keep players on their toes as they attempt to hide from the stalkers and solve the mansion's array of laughably contrived puzzles.
Again, it has its janky and frustrating moments, but in fully embracing old-school survival horror tropes, it's an easy recommendation. Plus, it's currently 50% off on Steam for Halloween, so fill your boots!
