7 Upcoming PS4 Exclusives That Could Beat God Of War
7. WiLD
Alright, so WiLD hasn't been seen for a long time. The game was publicly revealed at Gamescom way back in 2014, then shown off against at Paris Games Week 2015. After that, there was silence. Director and writer Michel Ancel posted about the game's development in 2017, confirming it is still alive at least. Despite the silence, WiLD is still heavily anticipated.
Set in a procedurally generated Neolithic world, the player controls a human shaman with the ability to take control of animals all across the game world. The game looks stunningly beautiful and appears to embody the weird and wonderful single-player experience that PlayStation has so wholeheartedly championed this generation.
The long development time without any real talk is concerning, and the last game to market itself on its procedural generation was No Man's Sky (hmm), but that doesn't mean people aren't excited. Michel Ancel is a decorated developer, creating the beloved Rayman franchise as well as the newly revived Beyond Good and Evil franchise, so it could be that he's pretty tied up right now. Still, keep an eye out for WiLD - it might just surprise everyone.
