2. Jedi: Fallen Order Could Save EA's Star Wars License

EA

Fans have been right to be skeptical about EA's upcoming Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The publisher hasn't exactly won players over with the titles it's released using the license so far, and while Respawn are a team that have produced nothing but quality content, the spectre of the projects EA have canned in favour of their game still looms large.

Fortunately, all of those fears were dashed as soon as EA dropped Fallen Order's extensive first gameplay trailer. The look and feel of the Star Wars universe was a given, but it was the combat that impressed here. Far heavier, tactical, and certainly more violent than fans were expecting, the lightsaber duelling had a touch of Sekiro about it, more concerned with specific timing, dodging and parrying than flailing the weapon about and hoping you'll take off an arm.

There are some issues - particularly regarding a few dodgy animations here and there - but Fallen Order looks like the Uncharted-inspired Star Wars game fans have been craving for years.
