8 Alternate Endings In Famous Video Games You Won't Believe Got Cut

They say war is Hell - and it most definitely is - but crunch time on a video game, with the pressure of the world cracking those whips and forcing you to meet deadlines, work 15+ hour shifts, deprive yourself of sleep and forgo mealtimes in favour of yet more coding... yeah, it's not the most ideal way to make a living.

To that end, tons of proposed features get planned, talked about, gutted, put back in and removed again, all over the course of a multi year-long production cycle. The end result is something that may not resemble what you saw years prior, to the degree where heavily-advertised things like plot points get skewed and reworked, and even due to the nature of how a game's various parts get assembled, an ending can be a complete afterthought.

The following titles are all well regarded... but not especially their endings. In fact, all have best laid plans that went to waste, only to get detailed and analysed long after release.
