8 Best 7/10 Games Of All Time

2. Marvel's Spider-Man 2

Another possibly controversial pick here, but now that the honeymoon period is over, can we admit that Insomniac Games' Spider-Man 2 fell far short of greatness?

It was certainly another fun, adrenaline pumping thrill-ride of a superhero campaign, but also held back by its fair share of flaws.

From the uneven pacing - a result of pinballing players between Peter Parker and Miles Morales - to the generally disappointing story, wild overabundance of tedious mini-games, and general "been there, done that" feel of the game, this is a sequel that lacked the "wow" factor of either the first Spider-Man or the Miles Morales spin-off.

But on the other hand, its gorgeously cinematic visuals make it unarguably one of the very best-looking PS5 games, the fluid combat is ludicrously entertaining, and swinging around New York City has never felt better.

It's just a shame that it's in the service of a good-but-not-great PlayStation blockbuster that's superficially entertaining while you're playing it but leaves almost no lasting impression whatsoever.
