8. Labo Absolutely Destroys PS VR Unit Sales

Within just two minutes of showreel footage, the Nintendo Labo did what Sony haven't been able to since October last year: Build hype for a new console accessory.

And how? By - and stand by, because it's a wild one - having games you want to play.

I know... crazy.

All it took was one glimpse of a cardboard piano or DIY fishing rod, and millions of people were tuning in overnight just to see what the fuss was about. PS VR on the other hand, doesn't have a single recommendable, "You should buy the headset to play THIS, and it works best in VR" game.

Not one.

Of course, the actual price of a PS VR headset is around four times that of either Labo Kit, but in units shipped, the Labo already has a demonstrable rush of interest and a "Can't wait to play that!" feel - something that was never attached to Sony's kit before, during or after launch.
