8 Disney Worlds For Kingdom Hearts III Which Would Be Far Better Than Toy Story

4. Atlantis: The Lost Empire

No, stop angrily typing away on your keyboard, I do not mean another Little Mermaid world. Heaven knows fans have had enough of those. Instead, Kingdom Hearts III should incorporate a world based on the movie where Disney attempted to reach a more adult audience with its action, Indiana Jones-like exploration, and dark(er) tones and storytelling.

Although admittedly not a great movie, the culture and sights of Atlantis: The Lost Empire would be magnificent for Kingdom Hearts III, especially with Square Enix building worlds which are denser and almost entirely seamless.

In addition to its beauty, the story of Atlantis is something which could easily be transferred over to the lore and universe of Kingdom Hearts. This is because the film largely revolves around discovering the Heart of Atlantis, a crystalline fragment which provides Atlanteans with the ability to live for thousands of years with youth, beauty, and advanced technology.

But, with it being a heart which has grown a consciousness and is capable of being destructive, it’d make sense for Organisation XIII and Xehanort to seek it out to use as a weapon, and it would forge a natural alliance between them and Rourke, giving the Commander a reason to betray Milo which is more logical and better than money.

Thereon, Sora’s reasons for siding with Kida and the Atlanteans would be obvious, as they’d both have the objective of protecting the lost city’s main entity. Something which would damn well warrant their trust and a fancy keyblade.
