8. Ratchet & Clank (PS4)

Now I know what you're thinking, "Jules you stupid pebble-headed idiot, Ratchet and Clank most definitely started life out as a video game and not a movie, so why don't you stop smoking asbestos and get down off the roof"

Well, here's the thing, I know you can't see it but I'm making a little evil finger temple right now because YOU'VE FALLEN INTO MY TRAP.

For you see, dear friend, the Ratchet and Clank game that dropped on PS4 wasn't actually a remake of the beloved first game in the series, it was a video game based on a movie of the same name, which itself was based on the first game.

And what an experience it was, offering up beautiful graphics, an astounding dollop of nostalgia, and some cutscenes ripped from the movie tying things together.

It's just a shame that the movie itself felt rather flat, and despite all of its flash never really felt like it was firing on all cylinders. Thankfully the movie splices were kept to a minimum so that the gameplay could speak for itself, and reminded the world why this pair of platforming pals are as well regarded as they are.
