8 Video Game Moments That Will Be Mind-Blowing With The Oculus Rift

4. Playing As A Chestburster In Alien Vs. Predator 2

A few moments that weren€™t quite as good as one might expect in the 2001 PC game Alien Vs Predator 2 €“ not to be confused with the dreadful Requiem film from several years later €“ was being able to play as the Alien Facehugger and Chestburster. In theory, it sounds like great fun; the two smaller critters were as scary, if not scarier, than the fully-developed Xenomorphs that were the main focus of the Alien films. In practice, it was more like a puzzle; the player had to slink their way around maze-like levels while using stealth to avoid enemies who could kill them with a single shot. One moment that certainly did not disappoint however, was how the Chestburster was introduced. It€™s exactly what Alien fans would hope for; from a first-person perspective, it was the player's job to bite their way through some poor sap€™s internal organs, his ribcage and finally, his skin, while hearing his muffled moans from somewhere above the Chestburster's head. After a messy explosion, the Alien crawled its way to freedom - more morbid players could even look back at the hole they made in his chest if they so wished.
