6. Blue Shell - Mario Kart Series
If there was ever an entry to keep short on a list about annoying moments in video games, well it has to be one about that Blue Shell right? This overpowered, game-changing weapon can shatter the dreams of any avid kart racer in seconds. Simply put, until Nintendo added counters to this dreaded Shell, the thing was unfair.
Just like surviving a Royal Rumble match on the old Smackdown games from number one, only to be thrown out at the end, it was crushing to be eliminated at the very end thanks to one damn item.
The rubber banding in these Nintendo racers can be bad enough as is, but the Blue Shell left many content with second place and honestly, it makes all other laps redundant if pulled out late in the race.
Let’s add more ways to counter this in the next Mario Kart, maybe then will these games reach the quality of Crash Team Racing. Yep, I went there.
