9 Most Pointless Achievements In Video Game History

6. Get Over Yourselves - 'Spolsion Man

Okay, so maybe €˜Splosion Man isn€™t the only game to adopt the "Watch the Credits Until the End€™"achievement shtick, but I had to make an example of one of them. It could be argued that it serves the gratuitous purpose of forcing players to appreciate the people involved in the game€™s production, yet that point falls flat on its face when you realise the credits being on the screen doesn€™t really mean they€™re being watched. Well this is pretty boring, so let€™s explain why it€™s pointless quickly and move on. The people who care about those involved in making the game will watch the credits, those who don€™t won€™t, it€™s as simple as that. It adds no challenge, no interest, no purpose, and if the only reason it€™s there is to force people into staring at a never-ending string of names then they might as well use the Ubisoft trick of making them unskipable, that way at least it doesn€™t feel like we€™re being tricked into it.
