I cant think of any other game thats ever put this much effort into world-building away from the title itself. Over the years, Blizzard have always had a knack for animation - see Team Fortress 2 for an indication of just how proficient theyve always been with this sort of thing - yet for Overwatch, they've essentially become the Pixar of gaming.
Theres a real heart to all the clips that have been released so far, from Winstons dogged determination to save the world he was so enamoured with as a young ape, to Soldier: 47s Punisher-like brutality mixed with a heart of gold thatll always do the right thing.
Strangely compelling, they actively draw you into their stories (despite the game itself just seeing you batter each other mercilessly), in a way that provides a narrative backbone every time you choose any from the select screen.
