5. Little Nightmares 2

Little Nightmares 2 has been a long time coming. The original game came out of nowhere and, thanks to its smart puzzle-platforming gameplay and twisted, childlike visuals, quickly garnered a fanbase that made a sequel inevitable.

It took a few years, but a follow up was officially announced in 2019, with a vague 2020 release date pencilled in.

While still following the general formula established by the previous adventure, the sequel is making some big changes. For instance, original protagonist Six has been replaced with new protagonist Mono (though they will still return as an NPC), with the two meeting six years after the events of the first title.

Throw in bigger bosses, a larger world and even more twisted stalkers designed with that same fiendish Tim Burton-esque style, and Little Nightmares 2 looks like more than a worthy follow up.
