7. The Phalanx Boss Fight - Shadow Of The Colossus
Bluepoint's Shadow of the Colossus may be a remake of the 2005 PS2 classic, but the devs did such a fantastic job with this shiny PS4 version that they made it feel positively brand new.
While picking just one boss fight from the sixteen on offer isn't easy, the highlight surely has to be the high-wire battle against Phalanx, the thirteenth colossus. Even if you loved previous iterations of the battle, this high-def new PS4 romp is in an entire class of its own.
Seeing the gigantic, flying monster soaring around the sandy expanse in front of you is an intimidating and awe-inspiring sight.
Though thankfully, it shouldn't take long to figure out that you need to pierce the white sacs on its undercarriage in order to ground it and leap aboard.
It's not a tough fight in any way, and Phalanx won't even try to attack you directly, but jumping onto the creature and locating its weak points is absolutely nerve-wracking regardless.
There's a reason why it's constantly held up as one of the greatest boss fights of all time, and this gorgeous remake impressively takes it to an even higher level.
